Vision (Edinburgh, Scotland) is introducing 5402 range monochrome medium-resolution CMOS sensors and products on a single-chi¥dual-standard EIA/CCIR sensor. The sensor offers an alternative to CCD board cameras as they match CCD performance, although they are smaller, less expensive, and have lower power consumption. . . . Cognex Corp. (Natick, MA) entered into an agreement with Fuji Corp. (Tokyo, Japan) in which Fuji will pay approximately $1 million to Cognex for early access to the company`s next-generation machine-vision systems.
