June 13, 2008--Laser Focus World has embarked on a new mission to supplement its current online and print capabilities: video (follow the VIDEO link at the top navigation bar of www.laserfocusworld.com). With a dedicated staff videographer and assistants ramping up production capabilities at the PennWell home office in Tulsa, OK, Laser Focus World is now able to bring video to its online audience directly from the trade show floor or from a manufacturer's production floor.

CLEO video coverage includes an overview of Newport's Smart Table product, an example of the fruits of Gooch and Housego's consolidation of several separate brands into one, the nearly famous "wine glass vibration" experiment from TMC, a look at economical laser-diode test instrumentation from Arroyo Instruments, new alignment products from Bookham, and a preview of fixed-wavelength lasers from Daylight Solutions.
