Laser drive electronics that operate on 3-V dc offer full feedback, control, and safety features. The lower-voltage operation is attractive for battery-powered portable applications. Laser modules, including the drive electronics, are available in CW versions as well as with modulation up to 100 MHz. Laser powers range from 1 mW to 5 W. The supplies offer power stability of ۪.1%/°C.
