Low-noise green-emitting laser

Sept. 1, 1996
A diode-pumped, frequency-doubled Nd:YVO4 laser emits u¥to 100 mW CW of 532-nm green light with a TEM00 beam mode and noise less than 0.5% from 10 H¥to 50 MHz. Power consumption is 10 W from a standard 110/220 Vac line. Beam divergence is 2 mrad, and beam diameter is less than 0.4 mm. The rms stability over two hours is 3%. The system, for applications in scientific research and industrial uses, includes the miniature laser head and compact power supply.
