Melles Griot reports record sales
Melles Griot Inc. (Carlsbad, CA) has experienced record sales in the United Kingdom over the past year--the result, it says, of a new computer network. The company said it has sold record numbers of its optical tables, precision positioning equipment, and optomechanical products. Melles Griot opened a European central warehouse in Zevenaar, Netherlands, and linked all its sales offices throughout the UK, Scandinavia, Holland, Belgium, Germany, and France. A company spokesman said the new warehouse allows Melles Griot to keep more products in stock, and the computer network provides more efficient tracking and quicker shipping of orders.
