A miniature MEMS tunable optical filter (mini-MTOF) for high-bit-rate DWDM transmission applications has a 4.8 mm profile, and is designed to be embedded in transceivers with high-density form factors such as CFP2 and OSFP. It includes a variable optical attenuator (VOA) to optimize space.
