San Jose, CA and Beijing, China--Photon has entered into an agreement with China Light, a subsidiary of General Photonics (Chino, CA), to market its products in the Peoples' Republic of China.
China Light markets and sells advanced photonics, optical systems and testing & measurement instruments in China and will be establishing a full service demonstration facility in the near term and a service center during the next year. China Light's business covers: polarization management, timing management, beam profiling and positioning and stress analysis. China Light also represents General Photonics and Strainoptics (North Wales, PA) in China.
Allen Cary, sales and marketing manager at Photon said, "It is our intention to substantially improve our market share in the dynamic optics market in China. We have a number of instruments there currently, but we feel we have just scratched the surface. With China Light's commitment to a full service distributorship for Photon products, we believe that we can achieve market share for laser profilers in China similar to that which we hold in other parts of the world."
