Elliot Scientific is offering the Holoeye LR-C 1080 high-resolution spatial light modulator with Widescreen Ultra eXtended Graphics Array (WUXGA).

Elliot Scientific is offering the Holoeye LR-C 1080 high-resolution spatial light modulator with Widescreen Ultra eXtended Graphics Array (WUXGA) of 1920 x 1200 pixels, the highest resolution available. It is capable of modulating light spatially in amplitude and phase via its computer-controlled reflective LCoS display. In addition to displays, other areas of use include diffractive optics, biophotonics, medical laser applications, and material processing -- where strong laser pulses need to be shaped by applied phase modulataion.

PRESS RELEASE

WUXGA SLM added to Elliot Scientific HOLOEYE Range

To complete its existing line-up of the popular Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) devices from HOLOEYE, Elliot Scientific has added the LR-C 1080 High Resolution unit.

With WUXGA resolution - Widescreen Ultra eXtended Graphics Array - of 1920 × 1200 pixels (that's over 2 million pixels), this model is capable of modulating light spatially in amplitude and phase via its computer controlled reflective LCoS display. This is the highest resolution SLM on the market to date.

Primarily used for prototyping in industrial development and research, the LC-R 1080's high resolution, 8.1 µm pixel pitch, 16:10 screen aspect ratio and DVI interface also makes it ideal for HDTV images.

Besides displays, other areas of use are: diffractive optics, Biophotonics, medical laser applications and material processing - where strong laser pulses need to be shaped by applied phase modulation.

LCoS™ displays offer high light efficiencies and the Brillian high contrast mode ensures excellent optical performance. Integration into optical systems is made easier thanks to the small display size and the availability of very long and flexible extension connections.

Driver software included with the LC-R 1080 runs under all flavours of Windows and offer the user easy and full control of the SLM. Simple generation of diverse dynamic optical functions like gratings, lenses, axicons and apertures as well as the calculation of diffractive optical elements (DOE) from user defined images are possible too.

An SLM is a very versatile and useful device and the HOLOEYE range is now even more affordable due to the recent fluctuations in exchange rates.
