Stack-type actuators from piezosystem jena are based on multilayer ceramics

Feb. 7, 2014
PA Series stack-type actuators are made for applications including scanning microscopy, laser fine-tuning, micromanipulation, and mirror positioning.

PA Series stack-type actuators are based on multilayer ceramics and are internally preloaded with a mechanical spring. They can sustain high compressive forces or loads with tensile forces with a stiffness of up to 85 N/micron and travel ranges up to 220 micron. Applications include scanning microscopy, laser fine-tuning, micromanipulation, or mirror positioning.
