Microcosm signs confocal system repair agreement with Nikon

Microcosm Inc. (Columbia, MD) has just signed an agreement with Nikon Instruments Inc. (Melville, NY) to provide service and repair for Nikon's PCM 2000 Confocal System. As part of the agreement, Microcosm will be the sole provider of warranty service, service contracts, and repair services for the system.

Microcosm Inc. (Columbia, MD) has just signed an agreement with Nikon Instruments Inc. (Melville, NY) to provide service and repair for Nikon's PCM 2000 Confocal System. Microcosm has long provided expert services for Zeiss confocal microscope systems and now extends this expertise to Nikon's instrument product line. Microcosm will be the sole provider of warranty service, service contracts, and repair services for the PCM 2000.

Wayne Moore, president of Microcosm notes: “Partnering with Nikon in this manner increases our potential customer base significantly providing new opportunities to develop important relationships with leading scientists and new venues for application of our engineering skills. It represents an expansion of an existing market channel for our imaging products. This growth opportunity aligns with our strategy to become a leader in analytical microimaging products and services.”
