Advanced Thin Films hires VP of operations

Boulder, CO--Advanced Thin Films hired Tu Du as the vice president of operations.

Boulder, CO--Optical coatings company Advanced Thin Films hired Tu Du as the vice president of operations. Du holds a MS EE degree from the University of New Mexico and a BS in Optics from the University of Rochester, Institute of Optics. Tu comes to Advanced Thin Films with more than 20 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and operations, most recently from Banyan Energy.

"I am very pleased to have Tu joining the Advanced Thin Films team," said Joe Stupfel, general manager. "We look forward to Tu bringing his years of experience in highly technical manufacturing operations to help us accelerate improvements in our operational performance."

A recent blend of ATFilms and Precision Photonics, Advanced Thin Films is a brand within IDEX Optics & Photonics that manufactures high-power laser mirrors, optical assemblies, and custom coatings for the demanding applications using the highest level of engineering expertise available in the field today. Advanced Thin Films' thin-film coatings are made possible by combining modern ion-beam sputtering techniques with proprietary volume manufacturing technology.
