A miniaturized total internal reflection (TIR) lens for high-brightness LEDs provides an optical efficiency of up to 95%. Made from PMMA, silicone, or glass, the lenses are designed to achieve a high level of optical coupling, and offer a diameter as small as 4 mm and a height of 4.5 mm.
