Montreal, Quebec, - Clemex Technologies Inc., has released Clemex Captiva - an affordable solution for those who require basic imaging functionality. With Captiva's capture features, users are able to intelligently acquire their images using a scanner, or camera while automatically keeping track of multiple calibration settings. As an added benefit, Captiva also comes with a powerful mosaic feature that allows the automatic or manual stitching of images. The maximum size of composite images is only limited by the amount of memory in the computer.

In addition, working with others is made simple with a wide selection of annotation tools whereby users can overlay non-destructive text or graphics. As for measurement functionalities, point-to-point direct measures can also easily be applied.

For a limited time, Clemex is now offering a complete imaging kit that includes Clemex Captiva software, a firewire camera and cable, and video camera adaptor for $2,995. "Captiva opens the door for those users who have a limited budget or simply require a basic solution for image capture. With the introduction of the Captiva imaging kit, simplicity is key. No complex connectors or set-ups to deal with. Users simply plug in the camera, pop their installation CD in their computer, and in a matter of a couple of minutes, they're ready to go," said Clement Forget, President, CEO and Chairman of Clemex Technologies, Inc.
