In appreciation, the Golisano Children’s Hospital has named a patient room in honor of the Western NY Optics Golf Tournament.

The Golisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center has named a patient room in honor of the Western NY Optics Golf Tournament to reflect the commitment and generosity of the Western NY and national optics community. The dedication will take place on May 27 at the official opening of the new hospital.

The golf tournament has grown to be the largest annual optics networking event in the Rochester area. It began in 2000 with 58 golfers from the Western NY optics community and has grown to over 300 sometimes competing vendors and their customers from around the world. The current proceeds total $200,000.

The tournament this year will be held Thursday July 16, at Shadow Lake and Shadow Pines Golf clubs in Penfield, NY. If you would like to participate, email [email protected]. You can visit the hospital website to see the progress at www.givetokids.urmc.edu.
