Deuterium lamp

May 1, 1995
A modulated deuterium UV-light source is of interest to researchers in time-resolved-fluorescence microscopy and fluorimetry. The lam¥operates in the 10?200-MH¥range with 90% modulation u¥to 20 MH¥and more than 20% possible as high as 150 MHz. High modulation frequency stems from the lamp?s unique internal design and the addition of a secondary gas, which reduces internal impedance, matching it to the discharge impedance.
