Diode-laser collimating lenses

Dec. 1, 1995
Four collimating lenses are designed for a variety of visible and near-IR diode-laser applications. Each lens has a focal length of 5 mm, a numerical aperture of 0.5, and an image-field diameter of 0.14 mm. The three-element lenses are corrected to work with diode-laser windows 0.3 mm thick. All air-to-glass surfaces are coated to provide more than 95% transmission at wavelengths between 514 and 830 nm, 600 to 1020 nm, and 800 to 850 nm and at 1300 nm.
