    NASA awarded optics-manufacturer SY Technology Inc. (Huntsville, AL) a $600,000 Phase II SBIR grant to develop diffractive-optics design and fabrication technology. The two-year grant follows on the heels of a $70,000, six-month Phase I technology-demonstration project.
