UV extended OPO

Sept. 1, 1995
The UV-Lite system has been added to the compact Sunlite Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO) to enable wavelengths from 225 to 1680 nm to be generated with energies u¥to 50 mJ. The patented oscillator uses the narrow acceptance angle of the BBO crystals and a grating to form a narrowband spectral filter to produce output bandwidths below 0.1 cm-1. The single-pass amplifier reduces back-conversion effects for improved beam quality.
