In gradient-index optical elements, light traveling through the lens refracts at a continuously varying angle as a function of departure from the optical axis. The Gradium lens technology provides optical designers with a robust, lightweight alternative to multielement achromats and aspheric elements. The marketing and distribution agreement with Newport includes all laser and electro-optics applications of the lens technology, as well as semiconductor applications for OEM customers and end users.
