Inorganic EL is bright blue

TOKYO—Engineers at TDK have developed an inorganic electroluminescent (EL) blue-light display with an intensity over 100 cd/m². The display originated from a joint venture with iFire Technology (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) beginning in February 2000, with further developments being made in collaboration with Prof. Noboru Miura of the Meiji University School of Science and Engineering (Surugadai).
