Barr Associates wins $120,000 contract for space-borne filters

Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL, Pasadena, CA) awarded Barr Associates Inc. (Westford, MA) a contract worth $120,000 for polarizers to be used in the Cassini spacecraft, scheduled for launch in 1997, which will explore Saturn. The polarizers will be delivered in April 1995. This is Barr`s seventh contract in about three years for filters and polarizers that will fly on Cassini, including a complex filter for a visible mapping spectrometer, an imaging spectral radiometer, and wide-field and narrow
