OSEM builds Raman laser telescope parts for Brookhaven

Nov. 1, 1994
OSEM Inc. (Tucson, AZ) won a contract worth $167,000 to build a UV optical system for Brookhaven National Laboratory (Long Island, NY) that includes a 1.2mdiameter, f/2.5, lightweight telescope primary mirror made of pressureinjectionmolded borosilicate. The company will provide all the transmission and receiving optical and mechanical components, but not the laser or detectors. The finished telescope system is designed to operate from a mobile trailer.
