The DIFFRACT software program allows users to simulate discrete optical systems, including lasers, lenses, mirrors, apertures, gratings, prisms, multilayer thin films, photodetectors, optical disks, phase and amplitude objects, masks, polarization elements, and birefringent materials. The program performs wavefront propagation using both scalar and vector diffraction formulas. A user can observe phase, amplitude, and polarization patterns at various cross sections through the system. A free demo
