Dichroic filters

Dec. 1, 1997
Dichroic filters are commonly used for separating colors and enhancing contrast in machine-vision applications. The filters are available mounted or unmounted. Both additive (RGB) and subtractive (CMY) filters are available in 0.5-, 1-, and 2-in. diameters or a 2-in. square size. Dichroic filters provide wider fields of view than narrow-bandpass interference filters.
