The United States Display Consortium (USDC; San Jose, CA) has established a Projection Display Working Grou¥consisting of representatives from Texas Instruments, Proxima, dpiX (a Xerox Company), IBM, Electrohome, Sarnoff Corp., and InFocus. The grou¥has issued a request for proposals for illumination technologies, intended to stimulate production of these technologies that are well matched to new light modulators.
