Very flat, polished optical components such as waveplates, windows, polarizers, SAW substrates, lenses, birefringent filters, centrifuge cell windows, retardation plates, and Brewster windows are available. Shaped optical elements include prisms, concave and convex lenses, rods, wedges, and tubes. Components are made from sapphire quartz, calcite, rutile, silicon, and other crystalline materials.
