Focusing/collimating laser lenses

July 1, 1996
Multi-element air-spaced lenses are available for axial focusing or collimation of light from excimer lasers and Nd:YAG lasers. The excimer-laser lenses are made of high-grade UV-transmitting fused silica and provide performance from 180 to 400 nm. The Nd:YAG lenses provide minimum spot size at 1064 nm but are also chromatically corrected so that a HeNe guide beam will focus at the same point. A selection of diameters and focal lengths are available.
