Precision Optics Corp. reports increased revenues

For the first quarter of FY1997 (ended September 30), Precision Optics Corp. (Gardner, MA) reported revenues of $2.6 million, u䂔% from the $2.0 million reported for the same period in FY1996. Net income rose 67% to $258,422, compared to $155,033 for first quarter 1996. Precision Optics develops and manufactures optical systems and components and optical coatings; products include medical instruments such as laparoscopes, as well as industrial optics and objectives for night-vision systems.

For the first quarter of FY1997 (ended September 30), Precision Optics Corp. (Gardner, MA) reported revenues of $2.6 million, u䂔% from the $2.0 million reported for the same period in FY1996. Net income rose 67% to $258,422, compared to $155,033 for first quarter 1996. Precision Optics develops and manufactures optical systems and components and optical coatings; products include medical instruments such as laparoscopes, as well as industrial optics and objectives for night-vision systems. Company officials attribute the strong performance to a continued demand for medical endocouplers, which more than doubled over that of the previous year.
