The NightMaster is a held-held focal-plane-array-based thermal-imaging system. The sensor is a 256 ¥ 256 indium antimonide string array integrated in a microcooling system. The telescope assembly includes a lightweight f/4 50-mm/250-mm dual field-of-view optics. The system also includes low-power analog electronics, on-demand digital electronics for field calibration using internal thermal sources, a 12-bit real-time digital data output, and a RS-422 serial interface for remote control.
