Diamond turning

Diamond turning for AlumiPlate plating is available for prototype and production needs. The electrodeposited layer of more than 99.9% pure aluminum can be diamond machined to a surface finish that is two to four times better than achievable with uncoated Al6061 mirrors. On-axis parts have been turned to 1.8 nm rms, and off-axis mirrors have been turned to 3.6 nm rms.
