Toptica Photonics (Munich, Germany) signed a sub-license agreement with Menlo Systems (Munich, Germany) granting Toptica the non-exclusive rights to commercialize optical frequency comb technology based on difference frequency generation (DFG) in the U.S. market.
Menlo is the the exclusive licensee of the patent, which owned by Max Planck Innovation, the organization responsible for technology transfer from the research institutes of the Max Planck Society (Munich, Germany). The sub-license agreement is for use of U.S. Patent 6,724,788, “Method and device for generating radiation with stabilized frequency”.
