PRESS RELEASE

EUROPA™ the first commercial MHz OPA

FEMTOLASERS now presents the first MHz Optical Parametric Amplifier (OPA) directly pumped by the proven FEMTOSOURCE™ XL oscillator. The versatile system delivers tens of nJ pulse energy in the MIR spectral range at a repetition rate of 5 MHz. An optional SHG module is available for the signal beam and provides tuneable pulses in the visible range. The high repetition rate of the system significantly reduces data aquisition times and noise, a huge advantage especially for imaging applications. The use of an oscillator as pump source obliviates the need of a complex amplifier system and significantly reduces operating complexity and total cost of ownership. Features: 4 or 5 MHz repetition rate | Tunable in the MIR and VIS | Harmonic generator available | Compact complete system
