Pessac, France--Amplitude Systemes, a producer of diode-pumped ultrafast lasers, has opened an office in Taiwan. Located in the capital city of Taipei, the office will provide sales and technical support to customers in the Asia-Pacific region. Quentin Mocaer will run the office, providing support to existing and future customers.
According to Eric Mottay, CEO of Amplitude Systemes, "Headquartered in France, with operations in Boston and San Diego, our new office in Taiwan further increases our global presence, and will help us leverage the unique technical and product expertise of Amplitude Systemes to develop new industrial markets for ultrafast lasers in a dynamic region. It will also provide an increased level of support to our existing customers in the region."

Stephen Anderson is a photonics industry expert with an international background and has been actively involved with lasers and photonics for more than 30 years. As Director, Industry Development at SPIE – The international society for optics and photonics – he is responsible for tracking the photonics industry markets and technology to help define long-term strategy, while also facilitating development of SPIE’s industry activities. Before joining SPIE, Anderson was Associate Publisher and Editor in Chief of Laser Focus World and chaired the Lasers & Photonics Marketplace Seminar. Anderson also co-founded the BioOptics World brand. Anderson holds a chemistry degree from the University of York and an Executive MBA from Golden Gate University.
