Bandwidth9 appoints Paul Murphy VP of Manufacturing, Components Division

Murphy will oversee the high-volume manufacturing of Bandwidth9's core technology at company headquarters. This area includes the fabrication, processing, and assembly of the company&L#39;s tunable laser components. These components are then integrated into MetroFlex tunable optical subsystem products at the company's second manufacturing facility in Duluth, GA.

Bandwidth9, Inc. (Fremont, CA) has appointed Paul Murphy VP of manufacturing for the Components Division. In his role at Bandwidth9, Murphy will oversee the high-volume manufacturing of Bandwidth9's core technology at company headquarters. This area includes the fabrication, processing, and assembly of the company&L#39;s tunable laser components. These components are then integrated into MetroFlex tunable optical subsystem products at the company's second manufacturing facility in Duluth, GA.

Prior to joining Bandwidth9, Murphy served as vice president of worldwide wafer manufacturing at National Semiconductor. He also previously served as the managing director of National Semiconductor's Advanced Technology Group, where he was principal in developing and transferring leading-edge complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and bipolar CMOS (BICMOS) technologies intomanufacturing. Prior to National Semiconductor, Murphy served as director of operations at Integrated Device Technology (IDT), a manufacturer of semiconductor solutions for communications companies.
