Motorola acquires Synchronous Inc.
Motorola Inc. (Horsham, PA) has finalized its acquisition of Synchronous Inc. (San Jose, CA), a leading provider of fiberoptic transmission systems for video, data, and voice transmission. Motorola acquired all of Synchronous' capital stock in exchange for shares of Motorola's common stock. The acquisition is part of Motorola Broadband Communications Sector's ongoing strategy to enable broadband network operators to deliver an increasing number of data-intensive services.
