High-power laser thyratron

March 1, 1995
The LS-3229 thyratron for high-power gas lasers is designed for applications in which reverse currents are encountered. The deuterium-filled thyratron uses a two-ga¥tetrode design to facilitate high-voltage operation. The use of deuterium ensures reliable very-high-voltage operation with moderate pulse repetition rates. A custom anode allows u¥to 40% reverse current flow.
