Industrial-laser users form UK association

The Association of Industrial Laser Users (AILU, Abingdon, England) has been created in the UK to provide a vehicle for users to communicate safety or reliability problems to manufacturers and suppliers and to sponsor meetings on topics of interest to those working in the areas of material processing and allied laser technologies. Formed with support from the UK Department of Trade and Industry, the new association Owill address the overwhelming need of industrial-laser users in the UK to have a forum for sharing experience and setting standards,O explains AILU secretary Mike Green of Pro Laser (Abington, England).
