A 2.5 Gbits/s laser transmitter can be used for proof-of-performance testing, general laboratory validation, and compliance testing at 1310 or 1550 nm. The benchto¥Model 420A produces fiber-coupled SONET/SDH-compliant output with eye patterns conforming to the CCITT G.957 standards over the range from OC-1 to OC-48 and STM-1 to STM-16.
