    By providing more than 2 W of CW green light, the Series 240 diode-pumped solid-state lasers is an alternative for some applications previously served by ion lasers. Applications include entertainment, spectroscopy, and pumping of tunable lasers. The laser is smaller than ion lasers of the same output power, and the head includes all resonator optics, an intracavity doubler, and closed-loo¥water cooling, The chiller contains a water-to-air heat exchanger.
