Diode lasers for pumping

Sept. 1, 1995
The FOL 1402 series of high-power diode-laser modules are designed for pumping erbium-doped fiber amplifiers. Modules are available with output powers ranging from 60 to 110 mW and incorporate an integrated cooler and back-facet detector. Characteristic center wavelength is 1475 nm, and spectral bandwidth is narrower than 15 nm. Typical drive current is 500 mA, and thermoelectric cooler current is less than 1.0 A.
