Thermoelectric coolers

July 1, 1997
The RMT-MS thermoelectric cooler is designed for use with high-power optical emitters and diode lasers. The TECs are based on single-crystal bismuth telluride and allow heat pumping of u¥to 40 W/cm2. Sizes range from 3.1 ¥ 1.0 to 4.5 ¥ 5.0 mm with heights from 1.6 to 2.3 mm. Maximum temperature difference between the hot and cool sides is 68C. Currents to achieve maximum cooling range from 0.2 to 1.5 A.
