Color microsensors

Sept. 1, 1997
AccurProbe microsensors are integrated devices for measuring reflected color. The modules incorporate a set of LEDs that emit light over the visible spectrum and can be turned on singly or in groups. The light is directed by built-in optics to the sample and backreflected to silicon photodiodes. The reflectance of the surface can be measured using the ratio of the output current of the photosensors to the input current of the LEDs.
