Displacement sensors

Nov. 1, 1997
Displacement sensors made by MEL Mikroelectronik GmbH are available with measuring rates from 25 to 500 kHz. The M5 series of sensors use lasers or LEDs and have a user-selectable integration rate and automatic adjustment for light intensity. Applications include dimensional checking, position recognition of parts, tool position, or robot-arm-position detection, hole-depth check, present or absence of small parts, and fluid-level monitoring.
