Near-IR photoresist dye

April 1, 1996
A series of Epolite near-IR-absorbing dyes can be used as photoresists in the laser imaging of polymeric materials. Epolite IV-62B can be used to create images using a near-IR diode laser. Other dyes can be used at Nd:YAG-laser wavelengths and other peak absorption wavelengths are also available. The dyes are soluble in a range of solvents and polymers.
