Materials-processing system

Jan. 1, 1999
The Pentawave materials-processing system incorporates a 100-W sealed CO2 laser and a flashlamp-pumped solid-state pulsed laser that provides output at 10 and 1 µm and 532, 355, and 266 nm. The system includes a welded metal frame with granite motion base, 12-in. x/y stages, 6-in. rotary stage, and a 2-in. ¥stage. Windows-based software controls laser functions, motion, and file input and output.
