(Bedford, MA) has changed the name of its research division to SEO Boston. Director Alex Rosiewic¥said the new name better suits the division`s expansion beyond research and development into production, marketing, and sales of high-performance, diode-pumped, solid-state lasers. . . . Uniphase Corp. (San Jose, CA) has named Anthony Muller senior vice president and chief financial officer, replacing Dan Pettit who now takes over as senior vice president of business planning and development.
