Laser trimming platform has use in precision sensor manufacturing

The LFT-500 Series laser functional trimming platform is designed for the manufacture of precision sensor devices used in the medical, aerospace, and commercial markets.

BOLD Laser Automation (Bedford, NH) has introduced its LFT-500 Series laser functional trimming platform for the manufacture of precision sensor devices used in the medical, aerospace, and commercial markets.

The LFT-500 Series platform, when functionally trimming, continuously measures a particular parameter and compares it with the set value. Once the set value is reached, the laser cut stops automatically. Almost all output signals, including resistance, voltage, current, and frequency, can be adjusted to their target value in conjunction with appropriate measuring equipment. Specifically built to target U.S.-based development groups who need tools for prototyping and pilot production, the platform provides a host of options, including customized fixturing and test hardware.

Built for high precision throughput, the LFT-500 Series platform is outfitted with three wavelength options, including 1064 nm, 532 nm and 355 nm, covering the near-infrared to the UV.
