MKS Instruments further expands industry footprint in Asia
MKS Instruments (Andover, MA) has confirmed an order for the company’s ESI Geode via drilling system from high-density interconnection (HDI) printed circuit board (PCB) maker TTM Technologies (TTM) for its facility in Guangzhou, China. The financial terms of the order were not disclosed.
This order will support TTM’s existing manufacturing and future technological development through the use of CO2 laser via drilling technology. Developed by MKS’ Equipment & Solutions Division, the Geode via drilling system is optimized to process the rigid HDI PCBs and package substrates widely used in consumer electronics, such as smartphones and other handheld devices.
