Precision Laser Scanning intros polygon scanner for portable laser cleaning

Aug. 2, 2019
The polygon scanner's uses include laser cleaning with handheld and robotic arm systems, as well as in high-speed assembly line laser cleaning.

The Gecko-5-HP1 polygon scanner from Precision Laser Scanning (Scottsdale, AZ) has utility in high-power laser cleaning. Its solid aluminum polygon provides optimal heat dissipation and its dielectric coating is highly reflective at 1064 nm. Uses include laser cleaning with handheld and robotic arm systems, as well as in high-speed assembly line laser cleaning.

The polygon scanner features an 8.5 mm aperture and an 80 × 120 mm footprint, and can scan a kilowatt-class laser at hundreds of meters per second.
