Easy, Versatile, High Quality Desktop Laser Marking System

Oct. 2, 2018
New desktop marking and engraving system delivers unmatched quality and consistency on a wide range of materials.

A fifth-generation desktop marking system from Coherent combines high precision mechanics, a versatile fiber laser, and powerful software to deliver unmatched quality and consistency. This enables it to produce both vector and grayscale marks on a wide range of metals, plastics, rubber, wood and other organic materials. Applications include jewelry, machine tools, hand tools, medical devices, automotive parts, consumer products and packaging.

The EasyMark features a moving laser head and stationary part platform. This simplifies the design of tooling to hold the part during marking, and also makes it easier and faster to load and unload parts during production. High quality galvanometer scanners, motion systems and mechanical components ensure long-term machine stability and eliminate thermal drift, ensuring superior mark accuracy and consistency – a particularly important advantage when marking high-value components.

The EasyMark employs an intuitive graphical user interface that substantially simplifies job setup. Plus, an integrated vision system allows the operator to see precisely where the mark will be placed before processing, thus ensuring successful results. The software also provides access to sophisticated functionality, such as “On-The-Fly” marking, which permits processing of parts that require continuous feed through the machine, and a “Ring Marking Module” that facilitates marking on both the inner and outer surfaces of cylindrical parts.

EasyMark is available with a 20W, 30W or 50W fiber laser, optionally equipped with adjustable pulse width. The system provides enough space for workpieces measuring approximately 300 x 200 x 120 mm and yet occupies only 770 x 540 x 750 mm, permitting its use in even the most space-constrained environments.
